Card Types
Every card has a Type that sets its basic rules. Cards of these Types are called Assets; a card can have more than one Type, and then follows the rules of all of them.
Creature
Combat cards with ATK and DEF, Targeting Range and sometimes Guard Range. Creatures usually fight with Strike, a skill every Battlefield card has without it being printed.
Relic
Battlefield cards that usually give ongoing support, utility or effects on the whole game. Relics are not mainly fighters, but they can still Strike. Some are Relic Creatures, and count as both.
Artifice
One-shot effects. An Artifice uses a position while it resolves, then is Archived (put in your discard pile).
Augment
Attachments. An Augment is attached to a card you already have in play, and the two act as one card, combining their ATK, DEF, Traits and abilities.
Trap
Hidden Battlefield cards, usually played face down. Their Latent Abilities trigger by themselves when their condition is met.
Forge
Your economy. Forges are played to the Foundry and give Shards, the currency almost every card costs. Many give Shards without spending an Action.
Catalyst
Your deck's identity. You choose one Catalyst before the game; it starts in play, never leaves, and its abilities are available from the very first turn.
Tokens
Some effects Summon Tokens: Assets that are not cards, represented by any marker. Unlike cards, Tokens can share a position with other cards or Tokens.
Prime cards
A card marked Prime (a gold Type symbol on the site) is unique: you may control only one copy of a Prime card with the same name at a time.
