Victory Conditions
As a Shaper you manage two values: Resonance (your life points) and Dominance (your victory points). You win by meeting any one of these conditions:
Resonance
Reduce every opponent's Resonance to 0. Damage dealt to an open position on their Battlefield (one with no card on it) reduces their Resonance.
Dominance
Reach Dominance equal to the Starting Total. You gain Dominance mainly when an opponent's card is Destroyed by you: you gain that card's Dominance value.
Special
Meet an alternative victory condition printed on a card.
Game length
The Starting Total sets both your starting Resonance and the Dominance you need to win. It is chosen before the game and does not change.
Game · Resonance and Dominance · About
Short · 10 · 15 to 30 minutes
Standard · 25 · 30 to 60 minutes
Extended · 50 · 60 to 90 minutes
Every player starts with Resonance equal to the Starting Total and 0 Dominance.
When the game ends
Victory and defeat are checked once, at the very end of each turn. If one player meets a victory condition, that player wins, even if they also meet a losing condition.
If several players win in the same turn, or everyone is defeated, the winner is decided by these tiebreakers, in order: the highest Dominance, then the most Resonance left, then the most cards left in the Vault, then the Active Player.
